Employee Recognition Toolkit & Guidelines

Send a quick thank you or shout out with an email or an Everyday THANKS digital card!

Is an email or 'thank you' note not enough? Do they go above and beyond and deserve more recognition?

Be relevant: Send your thanks as soon as you can.
Be specific: Tell your colleague why their action is being noticed.
Talk about their results: Explain not just what was done, but why it was worthy of recognition.
Make it individual: The contribution was unique, so take the extra moment to explain how and make it unique to that employee.
Tell a story: Tell the story of their success and use emotionally evocative language that captures the sequence of events and their hard work.
Consider your words: Language has tremendous power. Choose your words carefully and make your message impactful.

Use the PRIDE Experience Awards to recognize those employees or teams that stand out - going above and beyond!

Remember, a nomination is recognition in of itself!
A compelling story or example(s) should be heart felt and describe how the nominee makes you or others feel.
Give evidence to support your statements about the nominee or team. Use specific examples and be clear and concise.
Quotes/statements contributed by co-workers, supervisors, faculty and patients are encouraged in your nomination.
Make sure not to disclose any HIPAA protected confidential information, i.e., patient information or other identifiers.
